I can’t believe it has already been five years of writing my blog, ShaneaSavours.
I want to thank all my readers and supporters for following me and encouraging me. I look forward to searching out the best bites that everyone is buzzing about, as well as some of the iconic classics, from Toronto
, New York
, and once I’m able to travel again, anywhere my wanderlust takes me.
Unfortunately, we lost some wonderful establishments due to the pandemic. My hometown of Toronto had particularly difficult hardships with many shutdowns. But, the smartest restaurants never stopped creating and realized our new reality. Thank you to everyone who helped support your restaurants, whether it was dining in, taking out, or delivery
. You helped keep your local restaurants in business.
The one downside of running ShaneaSavours is I now have to shop for larger size clothes. But it has been a pleasure to explore the considerable and ever-changing food scene. Restaurants continue to evolve and consistently expand their repertoire, and I have hungrily accepted the challenge of trying their establishments for you. I will continue to explore and be inspired by kitchens from around the world. I will indulge, savour, and chase flavours.
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well”

It has been a difficult year but there is definitely a correlation between what one eats on their overall happiness. I look back on last year and consider how a fabulous burger, a fresh bowl of tagliatelle with truffles, or a great bottle of wine has left me giddy. Enjoying food and travel is my fashion, my passion, and my love. I want to share my fondness for food with you, and in doing so, I hope to make you smile, dream, and drool.
