Anet Gesualdi Macarons, TorontoThe corner of Dupont and Christie just got a little sweeter with the addition of the most adorable little shop that opened last July 2015 at 647 Dupont Street just east of Christie.

Anet Gesualdi Macarons is owned by Anet and her husband Michael. She also has a bakery where she produces these beauties at 709 The Queensway. Anet left her career in wealth management in 2012 to pursue her love of baking. She took various baking courses including French macaroons. I was told that she fell in love with them while on her honeymoon in Paris. She originally started baking out of her house but outgrew that space and had to open an industrial space. The boutique followed in 2015. Anet creates artisanal French macarons of the highest order. They are super fresh, and she has an amazing flavour profile. She has many unique rotating flavours. There are always about 15 choices to choose from out of a list of about 50 flavours. You can find things like pink lemonade, creamscicle, jelly donut, birthday cake, matcha green tea, lemon poppyseed, lime mojito, chocolate hazelnut, salted caramel, cappuccino and so on. Her product is beautifully packaged and makes great hostess gifts, corporate gifts, and party favours. For a little retail therapy, they also sell giftware, cake stands, aprons, greeting cards and Sloane teas, which is also a local company.

There is a lovely backspace room that is used for interactive classes and workshops, like cookie decorating, flower arranging and calligraphy.

I love the idea that you can order custom macarons with bespoke flavours and packaging. You can also have corporate branding done as well. They can also do wedding and event creations for you.

These macarons really are some of the most gorgeous that I have seen. Anet Gesualdi is a really nice addition to the neighbourhood. I wish they were in mine.

Recommended.

Enjoy Indulging!
