The restaurant is at 1096 Queen St. West, west of Bathurst St., not too far from Drake hotel. It is in the former Nyood space, but you wouldn’t recognize it as it has been totally redone. It is a great neighbourhood restaurant but we didn’t mind driving there for such a nice meal.
The restaurant’s focus is on seasonal organic produce. They have a wood fired oven for pizza and we had the breakfast pizza with Prosciutto, mushrooms, potatoes and a sunny side up egg. One of my grand kids had the Margarita pizza. My other grandchild had one of the best Buttermilk pancake dishes I ever tasted. They served it with Rhubarb instead of the usual raspberries because it is in season now, along with roasted apples and Chantilly cream. They were just wonderful.
I had the Hueuvos Rancheros, which were very good, I am happy to report. There were other choices such as Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, and the Southern Fried Chicken and Waffles, which we will try on another visit.
They play cool music (from my youth) and they were kid-friendly.
