Located in the former Corner House Restaurant on Davenport is Flor de Sal – a beautiful, attractive, bright and nicely decorated space. I can only speak for Mother’s Day brunch today and not dinner as I haven’t been there yet for that. We had the private room upstairs which was perfect with grandchildren.

The menu had nice selections like pea and Parmesan risotto, waffles with chocolate sauce which was delish, seafood platter, and a deconstructed Hueuvos Rancheros, which is pictured in one of my shots.  We loved the Portugese bread that they served. The desserts were also quite  good. There was a salted Carmel chocolate cake, Portuguese custard tarts and a meringue dessert as well that we tried. The chef was formerly the head chef at Monk kitchen. The staff was good, we had Adele looking after us and owner Christina checking in on us. The service was slow but that could be because it was Mother’s Day.

We would definitely try it again for dinner.
