…Marion bakes all of their own breads and ours was perfection. It was so good in fact I took home a few different loaves from their market. They sell a lot of their food and pastries to go.

Quiet and more elegant, which is a rarity in this part of town, MC Kitchen stands out from many other restaurants in this area. It’s uber-talented Chef, Dena Marino, was an Iron Chef alumni. The food is what I would call modern Italian cuisine with inventive takes on Italian classics. Chef Dena uses only fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Arriving at Pao, you walk up a circular staircase, are greeted by lovely and friendly hostesses, and they walk you inside a curtained area into the circular dining room, which is dominated by a 6.5 million dollar Damien Hirst Unicorn, raised in the center of the room. The menus focus is Contemporary Asian, and was designed by celebrity Chef Paul Qui. Qui, a James Beard award winner, dominated on Top Chef. He is of Filipino heritage and the menu had Chinese, French, Spanish, Japanese and Filipino elements to it.
