We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at The Grill at Bal Harbour – situated on the second floor of the mall, just up the escalators and straight to the back. I suggest making reservations now that everyone has discovered the restaurant. It was packed at 2pm even in the summer months. We started with some Azure Rose from Napa, one of our favorite boutique wineries there. A must try are their famous biscuits. Damn the diet and indulge. Spread on some butter and top with a little honey (hence the half eaten plate of biscuits in the picture).

The shrimp cocktail were a beautiful size and they come with two sauces. A new item on the menu that drew raves from David was a sandwich on a homemade bun, with a pounded chicken breast lightly dusted in Panko crumbs and quickly fried, topped with a kale slaw, tomato and cheese. You can get a side of tabula, shoe string fries or coleslaw. He said that would be his new go to lunch choice. The staff is friendly and trained properly. This is an easy choice to dine for lunch or dinner, and you know you will be getting a consistently good meal. It is priced a little higher than Carpaccio but for me the choice is easy: the Grill.

Recommend

Happy dining.
