Great restaurant you’ve got to try , CORE on Queen St East. We went two weekends in a row we loved it that much . First time we ate from the a la carte menu and this weekend we had their 5 course tasting menu . Fabulous food , great value and quality, fab attention to detail and preparation ! Between 5:00-7:00 they offer a 3 course menu . Portions are very generous for a tasting menu – a real must !! Owner and chef are so gracious and the staff is so lovely . Ambience has a real homey feel and you aren’t packed in like sardines . Not too dark , nice music , not overbearing so you can actually have a nice conversation without having to compete with the background noise . Bread is awesome and made on the premises too . They’ve been open since March and we want them to succeed so spread the word about this Leslieville gem ! You can bring your own wine – corkage is reasonable and if you can stump the owner as to the type of varietal and age of wine that you bring , he will wave the corkage . Stump the chump – neat idea !!! We will return again and again – such a wonderful find !!!!
Hope you check it out .
