Pie Eating Contest :: Florida Keys

Driving down to Key Largo and Islamorada was not just for the scenery (which itself could take home a medal). We went with a purpose in mind, to have a Key Lime Pie tasting and to declare a winner.

The four places we tried were Marker 88, Ma’s Fish Camp, The Midway Cafe and Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen. The winner hands down, no contest was Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen. The graham crust was so good and the key lime was just the right consistency with the perfect amount of tart and sweet. All in a hard day’s work?
