One of my favorite places to eat in New York last year was a charming West Village Italian Restaurant called Via Carota. It is located on 51 Grove St.
It boasts two women Chefs and everything I tried was delicious.
We sat at a communal table and we joined a bride and groom and their wedding party. Everything we tried really was superb. My daughter loves vegetables and so she loves their menu as vegetables are a stronghold on the menu. And, they know how to prepare them properly. I thoroughly enjoyed the raw Artichoke Salad with Parmesan as well as the crispy and golden Artichokes with a soft inside – yum, memories of Italy. The Heirloom Carrots and Yogurt were also lovely.
The Pappardelle with wild Boar Ragu was divine, and the Hamburger was cooked perfectly.
The dining room is on the rustic side. The scene was young and vibrant. The servers were warm and personable. The place has been popular since the day it opened.
Highly recommend.
Happy dining,
