Brickell, Miami unveiled a dazzling addition this past January 2024: Delilah, nestled at 301 Brickell Key, at the Ambassador Hotel, opposite the Mandarin Oriental. This modern-day supper club, boasting a vintage charm, hails from

Los Angeles also boasts a Las Vegas counterpart where celebrities like to mingle. It exudes glitz, glamour, and decadence, evident from the moment you’re greeted by uniformed valets and bouncers on entry.

Inside, a no-photo policy adds to the mystique, though the allure of old Hollywood glamour begs to be captured. Marble-adorned hallways lead to a grand staircase adorned with stuffed peacocks, culminating in a spacious venue awash in dusty rose, teal, and gold hues, and burled wood trims. Greenery and chandeliers punctuate the space, with a recommendation to opt for the back room near the live music, or you can score an invitation to one of the two opulent private rooms. There is also an outdoor patio under reconstruction that affords 180-degree views of Biscayne Bay, along with a few boat slips where you can park your yacht.

Sink into the overstuffed armchairs or plush velvet curved booths while enjoying the live music and dance performances reminiscent of Moulin Rouge, with waitstaff donning white tuxedos and bow ties, and scantily attired women, reminiscent of vintage cigarette girls. Surprisingly absent are white tablecloths and benches for handbags, given the venue’s homage to the golden era.

Despite the aesthetic allure, the food falls short of expectations, offering some kitschy basic American fare like pigs in a blanket and chicken tenders at adult prices, albeit with a few better options like the Hiramasa ceviche served in a half coconut shell with delectable yuca chips. The chicken and steak dishes are safe options for your main. But it is the atmosphere that takes center stage here, transitioning from dining to a late-night lounge with bottle service, signature cocktails, live entertainment, and dancing to a DJ, complemented by a late-night menu featuring bar snacks.

The abundance of attentive and friendly staff, including our delightful server Ben, is unusual for Miami. If you prioritize ambiance and socializing over food quality and cost, Delilah promises an unforgettable experience of eating, drinking, and dancing.

Happy dining,

Shanea
