Il Ristorante-Luca Fatin at the gorgeous Bulgari Resort in Bali offers one of the most elegant fine dining experiences on the island. With breathtaking sunsets and endless ocean views, arriving early for an apperitivo overlooking the cliffs is a must. Helmed by Michelin-starred executive chef Luca Fantin, who also runs a restaurant in Tokyo, this intimate 36-seat venue overlooks a serene reflection pool, creating an exclusive and privileged dining atmosphere. The dark, seductive, and sophisticated space is only open for dinner, offering a choice of 5 or 7-course meals crafted by chef de cuisine Alessandro Mazzali. Mazzali has had experience at the Bulgari Milan, as well as the 2-star Seta restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Milan, which presents creative interpretations of classic Italian cuisine.

The exquisite dishware compliments the beautifully presented dishes, crafted from globally sourced and Bali’s seasonal produce. Signature dishes like spaghetti crowned with caviar highlight the menu, which begins with an impressive array of amuse-bouches and some of the best homemade bread on the island. The pasta dishes are delicate and delicious, showcasing refined and gastronomic techniques. Guests can opt for a wine pairing. However, we chose a bottle of Cevaro Della Sala, one of our favourite Italian chardonnays from Antinori, from the extensive list of over 300 predominantly Italian wines. The excellent champagne selection is also noteworthy.

Desserts are an array of decadent delights, and the service is helpful, warm, and welcoming, enhancing the feeling of a special occasion and elevated dining experience.

Recommended.

Happy dining,

Shanea
