If you are looking for a highly recommended restaurant in Dubai, I’d wholeheartedly suggest Trèsind Studio without hesitation. Located on the rooftop of Nakheel Mall on Palm Jumeirah, this intimate venue offers an unforgettable experience with its inventive and beautifully presented modern Indian cuisine. It serves sixteen lucky guests at six well-spaced table’s, and the evening unfolds like a private culinary performance. The space is sleek and contemporary, featuring black floors, white tablecloths, dim lighting, and a striking apothecary wall filled with spice drawers and jars of pickled ingredients- an enhancing backdrop to the open kitchen stage.
Très Sind Studio is an extraordinary dining destination, ranked second-best restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa on the prestigious World’s 50 Best list and number 13 worldwide. This Michelin two-star venue offers an interesting and imaginative multi-course tasting menu crafted by the talented chef Himanshu Saini, a rising star in his 30s. Although he was away at a culinary event in Italy when we visited, the experience was flawless, and each course was a testament to the team’s skill and dedication.
Our meal was a surprise 18-course journey across four regions of India, represented by a hand-painted map presented at the beginning of the evening. The courses are served in four acts, with each act focusing on the flavours and culinary traditions of a specific region. The tasting menu changes by 50% yearly, though they keep certain beloved classics. Each dish is beautifully plated with unique dishware and cutlery, incorporating natural elements like flowers, leaves, shells, and locally sourced ceramics. The result is a visually stunning experience, made even more special by the chef’s commitment to elevating Indian cuisine beyond traditional expectations.
The flavours were unforgettable; even for those who think they may not like Indian food, Très Sind is a revelation. My favourite courses were the donut and the langoustine. Each course is explained in detail, spotlighting humble, local, organic, and sustainably sourced ingredients from the UAE and beyond, as well as premium elements like lobster, langoustine, and truffles. The restaurant’s dedication to guest experience is unparalleled, earning them the “Art of Hospitality Award” at the inaugural Middle East and North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Service is warm, attentive, and highly personalized, and the drinks program, Papadorn, is equally impressive. The in-house mixologist works magic with infusions, crafting exquisite non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages alike, and there is a curated selection of fine wines as well.
Without a doubt, Trèsind Studio is one of the World’s most notable Indian restaurants. The meticulous technique, the multi-dimensional flavours, and the chef’s creative vision made this my most memorable dining in Dubai, as well as one of my top picks worldwide.
Highly recommended!
Happy dining,
Shanea
