Cream Parlor, Miami
The name Cream Parlor suggests frozen treats, but at 8224 Biscayne Blvd in MiMo, it is so much more than that.

Owners and husband and wife, Johnny and Ainsley Tsokos, have opened a truly original, and authentic, comfort eatery in Miami.

Inside this new kitschy, super cute, narrow eatery that seats about 20 inside and another 20 outside on a beautiful back patio, you will feel welcome by this friendly, loving duo. The place has a nostalgic vibe to it, with mismatched chairs and tables, vintage china, knick knacks, board games and memorabilia. There is even a small play area in the back. You can tell the owners want to welcome families here. The environment is fun and relaxing and the menu offers a vast array of foods for everyone, from vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free or protein based diets. The menu offers salads, wraps, paninis, breakfast items, sandwiches, tartine’s, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, coffees, teas and hot chocolate, and yes, ice cream. They usually have about 12 flavours on hand, with cute names like Purple Rain, Unicorn Poop, Mint Condition and Up All Night Coffee. You can get some serious and crazy toppings added. If you mention “Shanea Savours” to the owners, you will get your toppings for free!!!!

The food is not going to blow you away or anything, but what you will receive is generous hospitality, by owners who believe in their business, their community and their patrons, in a quaint, well priced, and inviting mom and pop operation. They are bringing their unique sense of style and favourite home recipes and serving them up all day long in their cozy environment.

Happy dining,
Shanea
